Tom Selleck Urges CBS to Greenlight Another Season of “Blue Bloods”

Tom Selleck Advocates for CBS to Renew “Blue Bloods” for Another Season

Tom Selleck, who plays the pivotal role of patriarch Frank Reagan on CBS’s “Blue Bloods,” recently discussed the future of the popular police drama in an interview with CBS News. When asked about the potential cancellation of the show, Selleck expressed confidence in a positive outcome.

“That’s an intriguing question,” Selleck remarked. “I still believe CBS will make the right decision.”

He highlighted the show’s impressive performance, noting, “We’re ranked third among scripted shows on broadcast television and continue to thrive on Monday nights. The cast is eager to return, and I assure you, we’re not slowing down. We’re still delivering compelling stories and maintaining our strong position. So, what do you think?”

Selleck’s support is echoed by a passionate online campaign dedicated to preserving the series, which chronicles the lives of New York City law enforcement officers.

Despite his busy career, Selleck, 79, isn’t ready to retire from acting to focus solely on his 63-acre California ranch. “Maybe if I stopped working,” he said with a chuckle. “But have I secured my fortune? Yes, but perhaps not enough for a 63-acre estate!”

With its ongoing success and the cast’s enthusiasm for another season, “Blue Bloods” remains a standout hit on CBS, reinforcing the case for its renewal.
