At 79, Selleck has starred in the popular CBS show for 14 years, but the series is slated to conclude this year. Fans are expressing strong opposition to the show’s ending, and it turns out Selleck shares their sentiment.

In a recent interview with CBS, Selleck expressed hope that “CBS will come to their senses” and renew the show for additional seasons.

“We’re the third-highest scripted show on broadcast TV. We’re leading the ratings. The entire cast is eager to return,” Selleck said.
