“Tom Selleck Worried About Losing His Sprawling Ranch After ‘Blue Bloods’ Ends”

NEW YORK — Actor Tom Selleck has a lot to be concerned about as the end of “Blue Bloods” could also mean losing one of his cherished properties.

The iconic star, known for his roles in “Magnum P.I.” and “Three Men and a Baby,” revealed that the conclusion of the CBS police procedural in December might force him to part with his 63-acre ranch in California.

“I’m hoping to keep working enough to hold onto the place,” Selleck shared with “CBS Sunday Morning” while promoting his memoir, “You Never Know,” which hits shelves on Tuesday.

Despite a successful six-decade career, Selleck expressed that the prospect of ending his current job is a serious concern. “If I stopped working? Yeah,” he admitted. “Am I set for life? Sure, but maybe not with a 63-acre ranch. As an actor, you never quite shake the feeling that each job could be your last.”

CBS recently announced that the 14th season of “Blue Bloods” will be its final one, with the second half of the season set to air this fall.

Although the cast has appealed to the network to reconsider, CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach affirmed, “All shows have to come to an end. It’s important for us to refresh the schedule. We are going to end the show come December.”

Selleck remains hopeful that “CBS will come to their senses” and renew the show. “We’re the third-highest scripted show in all of broadcast, and we’re winning the night,” he noted. “The entire cast wants to come back. We’re producing great episodes and still maintaining strong ratings. I don’t know why they would end it.”

According to Nielsen data, “Blue Bloods” was ranked No. 7 in the week of April 8 to April 14, highlighting its continued popularity.
