“Tom Selleck’s 2024 Net Worth Highlights ‘Blue Bloods’ Financial Success”

Tom Selleck’s net worth in 2024 is a testament to his successful television career, and bidding farewell to Blue Bloods will be a poignant moment for him.

“I love the show,” Selleck told Parade about the CBS hit series, which is concluding with its 14th season. “With Magnum, I never got bored, but I did get tired from it, since I was in every scene. With this show, the only thing I’m tired of is the commute [to New York City]. I live in Los Angeles with my family—my wife and daughter. I’ll keep making that commute, though.”

Selleck has previously shared with Parade that while he’s reluctant to say goodbye to Frank Reagan, he remains dedicated to his craft. “I’m always looking for what’s next,” he said. “I plan to keep acting as long as there’s a demand for me.”

Explore how this television icon has amassed his wealth over nearly five decades in the spotlight. During his rise to fame, Selleck served in the California Army National Guard from 1967 to 1973. At the same time, he appeared in commercials for brands such as Pepsi, Right Guard deodorant, Salem cigarettes, Close-Up toothpaste, and Revlon men’s cologne. He also had small roles in films and guest spots on TV shows, most notably as investigator Lance White in The Rockford Files. Despite several TV pilots failing to get picked up, Selleck’s luck changed in 1980 when he landed the role of Thomas Magnum in Magnum, P.I..

Before Magnum began filming, Selleck was offered the role of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark but had to decline. “You can’t dwell on ‘what ifs,’” he told Parade. “There was that what-if moment, but it’s a long story. After turning down Indiana Jones, there was another what-if: CBS, in a dispute with Universal over Magnum, briefly removed it from the fall schedule. If I couldn’t do Indiana Jones and Magnum had disappeared, that would have made it much harder to stay philosophical about the situation.”
