Tom Selleck’s Advice for Future Blue Bloods Co-Star: ‘Embrace the Moment’

Blue Bloods Nears Its Final Curtain: Last Episodes Set for Fall

“Blue Bloods” is gearing up for its final moments. After airing the first ten episodes of its 14th and final season by May 17, the show will return with the last eight episodes in the fall. Although CBS has yet to confirm whether the series will indeed conclude with its 14th season or stretch to 300 episodes, the cast, including Tom Selleck, informally refers to it as the “15th season.”

Recently, Tom Selleck appeared on “The Talk,” where he reflected on his extensive acting career—from his early days on “The Dating Game” and “Magnum P.I.” to his current role on “Blue Bloods.” During his appearance, he also discussed his new memoir, You Never Know.

Amanda Kloots, who is set to join the “Blue Bloods” cast for a guest role, asked Selleck for some words of wisdom before filming her scenes. With his characteristic humor and warmth, Selleck advised, “Don’t be afraid! It can be daunting, even for seasoned actors. Just remember, everyone is in the same boat.”

He likened her upcoming experience to his own guest role on “Boston Legal” in 2006, where he worked alongside stars William Shatner and Candace Bergen. He encouraged Kloots to “know your lines, hit your marks, tell the truth, and listen.”

Amanda Kloots later shared her excitement on Instagram, reminiscing about how “Three Men and a Baby” had been a beloved part of her family’s movie nights. She was thrilled to sing the film’s classic song with Tom Selleck, expressing her disbelief and gratitude for the experience. Kloots praised Selleck’s memoir, calling it a fantastic read with valuable insights for actors and fans alike.
