After a two-year hiatus, Yellowstone is gearing up to return this November, but fans will notice a significant change: Kevin Costner’s iconic character, John Dutton, is absent.
The series, a creation of Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, has captivated audiences since its debut in 2018 with its dramatic portrayal of the Dutton family’s struggles to protect their land. Now, as part two of Season 5 approaches, the first images offer a glimpse into the evolving dynamics without Costner’s patriarch.
The newly released photos from Paramount Plus highlight the central roles of the Dutton siblings. Power couple Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) are prominently featured, as is Attorney General Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), who is shown at a press conference with former governor Lynelle Perry (Wendy Moniz).
