“Yellowstone Season 5B Trailer Hints at Kevin Costner’s Departure”

The upcoming season of Yellowstone has hinted at Kevin Costner’s departure with a new trailer.

The highly anticipated second half of season five will premiere on Paramount+ this November. However, fans will see Costner’s character, John Dutton, written out of the series following the actor’s announcement last year that he would be leaving the show.

In the freshly released trailer on Instagram, Costner’s character narrates: “Legacy. You build something worth having. Someone’s gonna try to take it.”

Rip, played by Cole Hauser, says, “What I’m doing isn’t for the ranch. It’s for us,” while another clip features Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton brandishing a knife.

Jaime Dutton, portrayed by Wes Bentley, warns Beth: “You destroy me, you destroy yourself,” to which Beth responds: “Unlike you, I keep my promises.”

After Costner’s departure was confirmed last year, the show announced it would conclude with season five. However, recent reports suggest that negotiations are in progress for a sixth season, with Reilly and Hauser potentially taking on leading roles.

While many cast members are expected to return for a possible sixth season, Costner is unlikely to be among them. He previously stated, “I’m not going to be able to continue season 5B or into the future. I loved it, and I know you loved it. And I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning.”

Yellowstone season 5B premieres on Sunday, November 10 in the US and Monday, November 11 in the UK, streaming on Paramount+.
