“Yellowstone Season 5B Trailer Showcases John Dutton Amid Kevin Costner’s Departure from the Series”
“Yellowstone” is set to return to the Paramount Network next month for the second half of its fifth season, and fans can now get a glimpse of what’s in store with a new trailer and behind-the-scenes featurette.
In an unexpected turn, the trailer still features Kevin Costner as John Dutton, despite his recent exit from the series.
The cast includes Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, Ian Bohen, Finn Little, Ryan Bingham, Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, Wendy Moniz, Jen Landon, and Kathryn Kelly, all under the direction of Taylor Sheridan. The show revolves around the Dutton family, who manage the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States.
Paramount Network’s description of the upcoming episodes hints at how Costner may be written out, stating that managing the ranch is fraught with challenges due to “shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect.” The ranch faces constant conflict with neighboring entities, including an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.
While it has been announced that season five will conclude the series, discussions are reportedly ongoing about the possibility of a sixth season.
