“‘Yellowstone’ Unveils Season 5 First Look Photos Featuring a Kevin Costner Absence”

Get ready for your first look at the second half of “Yellowstone” Season 5, premiering on November 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The final season of the Paramount Network original will also debut on Paramount+ in Canada on the same day, with international releases in the U.K. on November 11 and later in Latin America, Brazil, and France.

The first half of Season 5 aired from November 2022 to January 2023. The anticipated second half was originally set to premiere in summer 2023 but faced delays due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes and conflicts with series star Kevin Costner. In June, Costner, who plays John Dutton, announced via Instagram that he would not be returning for the remainder of Season 5 or any future episodes, citing scheduling conflicts with his four-part Western film series “Horizon.”

To build excitement for the upcoming episodes, Paramount Network will re-air Seasons 1-5 over Labor Day weekend, starting Friday at 7 p.m. PT and continuing through Monday. The drama explores the tensions and rivalries between a burgeoning town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.

Though it was initially announced that Season 5 would be the series’ conclusion, there are ongoing discussions about the possibility of a sixth season. Should it proceed, the new episodes would center on Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler.

“Yellowstone,” created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. The executive producers include Sheridan, Linson, Art Linson, Kevin Costner, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, Stephen Kay, Michael Friedman, Christina Voros, and Keith Cox. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
