“Yellowstone’s Final Season Implements Major Plot Leak Prevention Following Kevin Costner’s Departure”

A new featurette from Paramount reveals the behind-the-scenes happenings during the production of Yellowstone’s final season, showcasing the heightened security measures implemented to safeguard the season’s secrets. This comes in light of series lead Kevin Costner’s departure to pursue his own Western project, Horizon. The effort to keep plot details under wraps feels reminiscent of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, given how tightly guarded the information is around the Dutton ranch.

The featurette kicks off on a lighthearted note, with Cole Hauser (Rip) stating, “This year, there were fun times on set. This is the greatest office in the world.” Kelly Reilly (Beth) adds, “We’ve just been shooting, and I feel so grateful. There’s a lot of laughter on our set.”

However, the tone shifts as the cast discusses the measures taken to ensure script security, particularly regarding how Costner’s character will be written off. While there’s no mention of the infamous train station just yet, fans know anything is possible in Yellowstone. Director Christina Voros, in a voiceover, emphasizes the importance of keeping details under wraps.

As for the future of Yellowstone, Season 5B will be its last, but discussions are underway for potential continuations in other formats. Given its critical and financial success for Paramount, they are likely to explore new avenues. Next up is a spin-off titled The Madison, featuring Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, and Patrick J. Adams, set to take place after the events of Season 5B.
