You Won’t Believe Who the “Mystery Woman” Spotted With Kevin Costner Really Is

The mystery surrounding the woman recently spotted having lunch with Kevin Costner in Los Angeles has officially been put to rest — and the truth is far less dramatic than online speculation suggested.

The 70-year-old actor was photographed earlier this week dining with an unidentified woman, quickly sparking rumors amid ongoing chatter linking him to Jennifer Lopez. However, sources have now confirmed that the woman is simply Costner’s longtime assistant, who has been working closely with the Yellowstone star for the past two years.

The pair were seen leaving the restaurant together, with the woman carrying a backpack — a detail that appeared to reinforce the professional nature of the outing rather than anything romantic.

Costner has been under increased public scrutiny following his highly publicized divorce from Christine Baumgartner, which was finalized in February 2024 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple shares three children. While Baumgartner has since moved on and is now engaged, Costner has not been publicly linked to any new romantic partner.

Rumors briefly intensified late last year after Costner and Jennifer Lopez were both spotted shopping at Kemo Sabe, a high-end Western wear store in Aspen, Colorado. Despite the buzz, there has been no confirmation that the two interacted, and no further developments have followed.

As one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, Costner continues to attract attention whenever he’s seen in public. For now, however, it appears to be business as usual.

Most recently, the Dances With Wolves star marked Earth Day with a reflective Instagram post, quoting his iconic character Lieutenant John Dunbar: “There can be no place like this Earth.” Costner added that his admiration for the planet has long been woven into his work, encouraging fans to take a moment to appreciate the world around them.
