Is Kevin Costner’s ‘Yellowstone’ Journey Truly Over? The Actor Shares His Uncertainties
Does Kevin Costner Know Something We Don’t? In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 69-year-old actor suggested that his journey in Yellowstone may not be over yet.
“Making Yellowstone has been a wonderful part of my life. Sometimes, stories have a way of coming back around,” Kevin shared during the interview. “I haven’t seen that dust trail coming my way, but I’m open to the beginnings I’ve created. The five seasons were a significant undertaking, and I believe that story is not finished.”
This revelation is surprising, especially since the actor previously confirmed he would not be returning for the second half of Season 5. In a heartfelt Instagram video posted on June 20, 2024, he stated, “Hi everyone, I want to let you know that after a long year and a half working on Horizon and reflecting on Yellowstone, I realized I won’t be able to continue with Season 5B or beyond. It was a transformative experience for me, and I know it was for you too. I wanted to express my love for the relationship we’ve built, and I hope to see you at the movies.”
Meanwhile, fans are left wondering what creator Taylor Sheridan has planned next. Until recently, it seemed that Part Two of Season 5 marked the end of an era. However, Deadline reports that negotiations are underway for a potential sixth season featuring Cole Hauser (Rip) and Kelly Reilly (Beth). With new promotional materials branding this next installment as “The Epic Return” of Yellowstone, there’s a glimmer of hope for more captivating cowboy drama ahead.
