“Hollywood Star Known for Playing Kevin Costner’s Daughter Steps Out in LA, Embracing Natural Look”

Can You Guess This Star? Actress Who Played Kevin Costner’s Daughter Embraces Natural Look During LA Outing

She once portrayed Kevin Costner’s daughter on screen — and now, at 42, she continues to make headlines with her effortless style and authenticity.

On Monday, actress Erika Christensen was spotted out and about in Los Angeles, confidently showing off her natural look, including visible armpit hair. The mom-of-two kept things casual as she ran errands, wearing a sleeveless black top paired with ripped blue jeans, white sneakers, and a matching white crossbody bag. She accessorized with gold earrings, a delicate necklace, and styled her hair in a chic half-updo.

A Seattle native, Christensen began her acting career at a young age and rose to prominence with her breakout role in the 2000 crime drama Traffic, playing Caroline Wakefield, a teenager struggling with addiction. Her performance earned her an MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Female Performance.

In 2005, she starred alongside Kevin Costner and Joan Allen in The Upside of Anger, portraying Andy Wolfmeyer — one of Costner’s character’s daughters. Christensen went on to star in various films including Swimfan (2002), The Banger Sisters (2002), The Perfect Score (2004), and Flightplan (2005).

On television, she is well known for her role as Julia Braverman-Graham in NBC’s Parenthood, which ran from 2010 to 2015. Since 2023, she has starred in ABC’s crime drama Will Trent as Angie Polaski. Her TV credits also include guest spots on Frasier, The Practice, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and That ’70s Show, reuniting with Traffic co-star Topher Grace.

Christensen was raised in Los Angeles after her family relocated from Seattle when she was four. She grew up in the Church of Scientology, a belief system her parents adopted in their twenties. In a 2018 interview on the Armchair Expert podcast, she opened up about her faith, noting that Scientology has shaped how she views life, spirituality, and personal growth.

In her personal life, Christensen became engaged to cyclist Cole Maness in 2014, and the couple married the following year in Palm Springs. They currently live in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, with their two daughters, Shane and Polly.
