“Kevin Costner’s 75-Foot Luxury Yacht Makes Waves at Cannes Yacht Festival”

Pardo Yachts is set to make a splash at the Cannes Yachting Festival, running from September 10 to 15, with its innovative designs and luxurious offerings. The Italian shipyard, known for its distinct lines of motoryachts and sailboats, continues to push boundaries in the yachting world. The P series models feature vertical bows and arrowhead-shaped hulls reminiscent of competitors like Wally, Zeelander, and the former VanDutch brand (now part of Pardo). However, Pardos are designed to be more robust and secure for handling rough seas.

The highlight of Pardo’s presentation is the new flagship GT75, which will make its debut at Cannes after several years of development and concept teasing. This latest model is a tender garage version, incorporating hidden space in the transom for stowing a tender while underway. The GT75 has already garnered attention thanks to actor Kevin Costner, who cruised the 75-footer through Calabria, Sicily, and the Aeolian Islands last summer. Costner praised the yacht’s “elegance, 360-degree views, and numerous comfortable spaces for sunbathing and relaxing close to the sea,” though his detailed onboard video offers a deeper look into the boat’s features.

What truly sets the GT75 apart is its ability to blend expansive dayboat exterior spaces with an interior designed for extended weekend cruising. The upper deck boasts two distinct seating areas: a dining setup with a central table and a separate lounge area situated forward. The aft beach club zone is another standout feature, including a generous swim platform with a foldout ladder and mini-platform, a queen-size lounge overlooking the platform, and adjustable fold-down terraces on each side. These terraces can be customized for various uses, from lounging with cushions to serving as a diving board.

The interior, designed by Nauta Design, emphasizes openness and light, with numerous windows on the salon’s superstructure and a large roof window. Lounges are strategically placed along the bulkheads, enhancing the sense of space. The salon also features a galley area with side doors to further amplify the feeling of openness. Belowdecks, the GT75 offers ample space with a standard layout of three staterooms and three heads, along with options for two or four cabins and a discreet crew cabin. The full-beam master stateroom mirrors the salon’s light and spacious feel, featuring large windows on either side of the queen-size bed and a glassed-in shower separate from the toilet and sink.

The GT75’s intelligent design and impressive top speed are key differentiators. Equipped with triple Volvo 1050 engines and IPS drives, the yacht reaches a top speed of 41.5 mph. Upgrading to Volvo IPS 1350s boosts the top speed by an additional 3 mph, showcasing the vessel’s impressive performance capabilities.
