Tom Selleck Could Return as Frank Reagan? ‘Boston Blue’ Stars Say the Door Is Still Open

Sonequa Martin-Green has revealed that the Boston Blue team continues to invite Tom Selleck to appear on the series and hopes he will eventually join the cast. She said the door is always open for the Blue Bloods legend.

Season 1 featured several returning Blue Bloods stars, including Bridget Moynahan, Marisa Ramirez, Len Cariou, and Will Hochman. Ramirez is also confirmed to return for Season 2.

Martin-Green explained that the producers want Selleck’s appearance to happen only if the story feels meaningful, noting that he has always valued strong storytelling throughout his career.

She also praised the original Blue Bloods cast, saying Boston Blue is built on the foundation they created and expressing hope that more familiar faces will return in the future.
