Tom Selleck recently appeared with his Blue Bloods co-stars at PaleyFest, debuting a new look with a full beard and longer gray hair. The veteran actor smiled for photos as the cast celebrated the show’s final season.

Selleck revealed that he once suggested shaving his famous mustache for the role of Frank Reagan, but CBS encouraged him to keep it. Over the years, it became one of the character’s most recognizable features.

Following the end of Blue Bloods, Selleck admitted he was disappointed by the cancellation, saying the series’ long-running success was often overlooked. However, he also made it clear that he remains grateful for the show’s incredible journey and loyal fan base.

After 14 successful seasons, Blue Bloods officially concluded its run earlier this year. While the farewell was emotional, Selleck said he is looking ahead with optimism and appreciation for everything the series accomplished.
